About Shebs

Shebs Alom is an award-winning travel writer, broadcaster, and podcaster.

 

2024 BGTW Broadcaster of the Year finalist. Shebs is Co-Executive Producer of the award-winning PBS docuseries Fly Brother with Ernest White II. His work has been featured in the BBC, The Express, Travel Weekly, and more.

 

He has worked on radio and has hosted a breakfast show on Africa’s first and only dedicated travel radio station, Gallivant Radio. 

 

His podcast, Take a Wander with Shebs, has received international acclaim for his production and hosting ability. 

Shebs is a Director of Voyagers Voice, a travel magazine, where he is responsible for creating revenue, commissioning new writers, and being an editor & writer.

 

After obtaining a degree in Fine Art, specialising in videography & photography, Shebs battled his way through the last ten-plus years to get into this position, having worked in numerous sectors such as sales, corporate and hospitality.

 

Shebs has become a respected voice for the travel industry, understanding all forms of travel far better than many others. He chooses to thoroughly immerse himself in its development and growth and take the industry to another level.
